This weekend B and I decided to experiment with a few new recipes, always fun!
Ham. Green Beans. Au Gratin Potatoes.
Yes, ham is a totally new subject to cook. Kidding. The recipe called for sweet potatoes and russet potatoes, but we nixed the sweet ones. This was definitely a good recipe! Also, if you’re short on time, boil the potatoes for a bit longer to get them softer which cuts the baking time nearly in half.
These ain’t your momma’s pork chops! One word: YUM! Although it calls for fat-free cream cheese (the existence of such a thing is almost un-American) its only to give the spinach some creaminess, but I think it would taste better with full-fat cream cheese. Then again, what doesn’t?! The zucchini chips were good, albeit not as crispy as I would have preferred, but the parmesan cheese gave it good flavor, but it definitely needed some sort of sauce for dipping. Like that tasty zesty dip for those bad-ass bloomin’ onions at Outback… *drool fest*

The steak was just sprinkled with salt, pepper, and love and grilled to medium rare perfection. Le sigh. The roasted buffalo cauliflower recipe was from Tina at Carrots ‘n’ Cake… The only difference is that we used straight up already ready buffalo sauce, no extra butter necessary. I probably should’ve broiled them a little longer because I prefer mine a little crispier, but the flavor was still good. B drizzled his with extra sauce since the baking made all the extra buffalo goodness ooze out… Yes, serious issues going on.

Life is still happening. I’m still working. And B and I are still going to CF. More on that in another post.
