America’s Heroes

Most of us celebrated a three day weekend. It wasn’t a national cookout weekend. It wasn’t just a time to party. This was a time to give a toast to remember those who have paid the ultimate price for our country and our freedom. This was a time to give thanks for our troops’ service.

I come from a military family and it is something that is near and dear to my heart. So, whether or not you support the war and/or politics involved, you can still support our troops. Don’t wait until Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day to thank a veteran; do itanyday.

In the midst of the cookout, party, or drinking event, I hope you raised a glass, had a thought, or said a prayer (if you’re the type) for America’s heroes, because if it wasn’t for them we would not have the rights and freedoms we do today.

Freedom isn’t free.
